Plot
As Tracy and Steve plan Amy's birthday party, Liz is worried by their apparent closeness. Fiz finds out from Sally that Cilla gets child benefit and tax credit for Chesney. Sarah and Audrey have a quiet word with Bill and suggest he accidentally calls round to the new chip shop and offers to lend a hand. When Kelly announces she's going to ask Liam out, Joanne is forced to come clean and tells her she's been seeing Liam. Kelly's furious and a fight ensues. Paul gives the girls a dressing-down. Kelly storms out of the factory, closely followed by Joanne. Kelly and Joanne continue to row in the Rovers. Carla's unimpressed and tells Joanne she no longer wants her to work overtime for her. Joanne's gutted. Bill calls in on Jason and helps with the plastering. Jason's grateful and offers him a job. Bill's pleased and they shake on the deal. Norris is put out when Rita arrives back from a boozy lunch with Doreen and announces she's going for a lie down. To Kelly's horror, Carla gives Joanne's old job as an evening machinist to Becky. Liam's annoyed with Joanne for telling the girls they're an item. Joanne's hurt. As Steve and Tracy make preparations for Amy's birthday party, Blanche is disapproving, accusing Tracy of trying to reel Steve in.
