Deirdre and Eileen arrange an evening at the Italian. Blanche invites herself along. Ken and Denise are awkward around each other. As Amber revises in the Corner Shop, David boasts how he's not doing any more exams. Dev's concerned and mentions it to Gail. Eileen flirts on the phone with a Street Cars customer called Pat. Lloyd takes the mickey. Ken thanks Denise for being such a good friend but tells her he's going to go back to Deirdre if she'll have him. Denise is secretly disappointed. Carla, Liam, Michelle and Ryan leave for Ireland to attend Paul's funeral. Mel quizzes Grandad about his shady past. He admits he once did time for a bank job. Blanche, Deirdre and Eileen arrive at the Italian to find Rita and Doreen already there. They decide to join forces. As Deirdre gets steadily drunk and eyes up the waiter, Blanche makes bitchy remarks about her. Gail lays the law down with David insisting he sits the rest of his exams. Deirdre, Eileen, Blanche, Doreen and Rita arrive back at No.1 intending to carry on partying. They're surprised to find Ken there. Deirdre and Ken are emotionally reunited and even Blanche is moved.
