Jamie's unimpressed that Liam's puppy has made such a mess of the house. Liam quietly admits to Jamie that he didn't really want a dog but it was a present from Maria. The wedding rehearsal takes place. Sarah's upset when Martin phones saying his baby is ill and he won't be able to give her away at the wedding. Paul tells Leanne he's managed to borrow another £10,000. She agrees to let him have a greater share of the profits but the business remains the same 60/40 split. Michelle puts pressure on Steve to speak to Liz and Vernon about them finding somewhere else to live. Steve keeps putting it off. A tearful Sarah asks Gail if she will give her away at the wedding. Gail's touched. Liam is turned away from the Rovers and the café because of his puppy. Maria wonders if she did the right thing buying him a dog. David tells Gail that he wants to go to Sarah's wedding but Gail tells him it's impossible. Liz catches Steve talking to Vernon and wrongly assumes they're planning a surprise for her 50th birthday. Sarah finds a letter addressed to Gail on the kitchen table from David saying that he's going to kill himself.
