Michelle keeps Ryan off school as she's worried about the stalker. Lauren persuades Eileen to let her lodge at No.11. David continues to open up to Stephen telling him how he hates his family. Michelle confides in Liz about Ryan's stalker saying that he's Ryan's father. Bill persuades Jim to go for a drink in the Rovers. Liz is unnerved by Jim's presence but when some rowdy lads cause trouble, Jim quietly sorts them out. Liz feels begrudgingly grateful. Mel meets her police officer friend Abi for a drink. Dan eyes Abi up. Steve and Michelle go for a meal together. Michelle assures Steve that the stalker can't be Ryan's father as she was never unfaithful to Dean. Steve believes her. Liz talks to Jim and concedes that they need to be more normal with each other for the sake of Steve and Amy. Vernon arrives and Liz introduces him to Jim. Jim is thoroughly polite and Vernon thinks he's a good guy. Jim watches Liz and Vernon in the light of their bedroom window.
