Plot

Liam continues to placate Maria, assuring her that Carla means nothing to him. Sally is concerned that Rosie hasn't called home or sent a text on her birthday. Rosie's enjoying her stay at the hotel and makes the most of the mini bar and breakfast menu. Steve is struggling with his Christmas list and asks Michelle to help him. Janice, Fiz and Kelly are unwinding for Christmas. Liam turns up at the factory and confronts Carla about making everyone aware of their kiss, but Carla acts blasé claiming that the kiss meant nothing to her. Michelle helps Steve to organise his presents, Steve's hesitant but raises the possibility of Ryan not being her biological son. Michelle admits it's eating away at her and decides she'll have to pay Alex another visit. Fiz tells Janice and Kelly how much she loves John and how much she's looking forward to spending their first Christmas together. John drops Rosie off and tells her it's best if they cool things until the New Year. Liz is worried they're understaffed behind the bar. When Lauren offers her services, Liz agrees and gives her a job as a barmaid. Sarah mentions to Stephen that she and Jason would like to work abroad if the right opportunity came along. Steve drives Michelle to Nick's house. She psyches herself up to confront him. Rosie tells John that she wants a proper relationship with him and if he doesn't dump Fiz she will tell Fiz all about their affair.
