Bill and Jason discover that Rick has a serious girlfriend and a daughter. Gail is lost without David and doesn't see the point in celebrating her 50th. Tony lets on to Carla that Roy is getting to him. David settles into the Young Offenders Institute. Ryan refuses to go to Ireland with Michelle and Alex. Steve will look after him. Jason tells Becky about Rick, she's hurt and upset but won't let on. Deirdre and Claire head round to Gail's house to celebrate but she tells them David has been given four months. Roy is worried about Becky when Rick enters. She rubs a cream cake in his face. David is alarmed at his new roommate, Graeme. He seems a little weird. Darryl is interviewed by Jerry in the takeaway formally. Vernon is bemused. David is allowed one call, so Gail waits by the phone during her celebrations, but David uses it to call Tina, whose phone goes straight to answerphone. Jerry offers Darryl his job back but with conditions attached. Dan thinks of turning Valandro's into a late bar. Leanne tells Paul who's seething. David cries in bed at the Offenders Institute. Gail is at home, distraught without him.
