Becky excitedly helps Roy prepare for Hayley's home-coming. Joe tells David that he won't be able to pay him this week as the cheque they got from the Windasses has been signed as "Santa Claus". Amber introduces her friend Minnie to Darryl in the takeaway. Len and Gary threaten Joe. They steal his tools from the back of the van and tell him they're now quits. Joe's shaken up. Joe tells David about his encounter with Len and Gary. David feels guilty. Amber shows Minnie the new flat while Darryl tries to talk to Dev about some marketing ideas he's got for the takeaway. Dev's bored but tries not to show it. Dev goes to answer the door and finds Tara there in floods of tears. He ushers the kids out and asks her what's wrong. Tara tells Dev how she bumped into her ex while she was clearing out the flat. He admitted that he'd been having an affair with her mother. Tara's in bits whilst Dev's quietly in turmoil. Roy arrives back from the airport alone and perplexed. He explains to Becky how Hayley wasn't on the flight. David admits to Tina how he's the cause of Joe's problems as he threatened the Windasses and tried to force them to pay up. Tina vows to sort it out.
