Plot

Deirdre asks Ted if he had a good time at the theatre with Ken. Ken signals to Ted to go along with the lie. Deirdre's none the wiser. Luke chats to the factory girls and brews up for them. Tony's not happy at Luke's soft management style. Joe receives a brochure through the post from Len. It shows the new warehouse development of nineteen apartments all of which need kitchens. Liz and Lloyd set off for a victualler's lunch leaving Becky in charge of the pub. Rita shows Eileen the pendant that Colin has bought her for her birthday. A coach party of heavy metal fans arrives in the Rovers. Becky's short-staffed and loses her rag when Kelly starts helping herself to drinks. Joe and Tina argue. Joe doesn't want his daughter to lie in court for David. Tina's not happy to discover Gail's been lending Joe money and paying some of his bills. Joe feels under pressure to accept Len's offer of work. Ted pays Martha a visit. Ken's not impressed to find Ted ensconced on Martha's boat. Ted tells Ken it's obvious he fancies Martha and he needs to start being more honest with himself. Ken knows Ted's right. Liz and Lloyd arrive back at the Rovers just in time to see Becky chucking Kelly out. Joe buries his pride and tells Len he'll accept the job on the new apartments.
