Plot[]
Part One: The happy Underworld staff get down to work. Fiz confides in Hayley about Chesney, saying she's worried sick. Lloyd advises Peter to get Leanne's side of the story before doing anything hasty. Ciaran suggests to Liz that they organise a speed dating evening in the Rovers. Collecting Simon from school, Leanne ignores Peter's calls. Nick asks Hayley to get some elastic from Weatherfield Market. Norris arrives back from a stationery fair to find Tina back working in The Kabin. She explains how Rita took her back on. Norris is secretly pleased. Mary is annoyed at being forced out. Peter sees Leanne ignoring his latest call from down Rosamund Street and rushes over to confront her. Nick assures Natasha that his marriage to Leanne fell apart quickly. He's concerned where he's going to find the £3,000. Hayley spots Chesney at the market selling dog collars. He's surrounded by customers and it's clear he's very good at it. She phones Fiz to tell her.
Part Two: Peter's furious with Leanne for going behind his back and they row when he accuses her of still fancying Nick. Liz agrees to Ciaran's suggestion, especially when Norris objects. Hayley approaches Chesney and praises his selling skills but Fiz arrives in a high temper and drags him home. Natasha offers Nick the money she'd saved towards a deposit on a flat to pay George for the deposit on Turners Joinery telling him that she sees it as an investment in their future together. Nick's taken aback. Chesney explains how he accidentally ordered 100 dog collars instead of 1 on her credit card from a company who then went bust and he wanted to pay her back. Fiz is touched. Peter insists he's not jealous as he refuses to listen to Leanne's denials. He storms out of the flat. Ciaran signs up people for Sunday's speed dating. Roy and Hayley celebrate their engagement in the Rovers. Mary insists on lending them her wedding dossier. Fiz insists Chesney would be better off at school so he can forge a proper career. Chesney's adamant he's done with school and exams. Mary plonks her weighty tome in front of the Croppers. Peter's jealousy is evident as he confronts Nick in the Rovers, telling him to stay away from Leanne. Ciaran has to step in before a fight breaks out.
