Sylvia's determined to make the café more profitable. She starts charging for condiments to the annoyance of the customers. Roy's concerned that she'll drive everyone away. Frank and Carla announce their engagement to the factory workers. Julie and Izzy are thrilled whilst Sean is secretly concerned for Carla. Leanne tells Peter about Frank and Carla's engagement. Peter's stunned. Owen offers Chris some work but Chris turns him down saying he's not a charity case. Roy and Hayley take Hope to see Fiz. She becomes emotional realising how much she misses her baby. Leanne makes bitchy comments to Carla about her engagement. The row threatens to turn into a fight and Frank steps in to break them up. When Sylvia chides Emily for taking too long over her tea in the café, Emily leaves embarrassed. Fiz's cellmate Ginny offers her some drugs but Fiz refuses them. Frank dupes Carla, Peter and Leanne into dinner at the bistro telling them that they need to clear the air. At Frank's insistence, Carla and Peter declare that they have no feelings for each other, although it's clear that neither is convinced.
