Plot[]
Frank and Jenny gloat in front of a horrified Peter, Carla, Michelle and Sally in the factory; while Anne appears to be horrified at her son's actions. Peter angrily calls Frank a "monster" and gets aggressive when Frank tauntingly admits that he got him in the gambling commission; Carla is forced to restrain Peter and they leave, followed by Michelle and Sally after the latter also calls Frank a monster when he sarcastically thanks her for helping him out. When Frank is alone with both Anne and Jenny, he rounds on his mother and accuses her of betraying him; she is then surprised when Frank tells her to move out of his house and get out of his life for good. Later that night, Frank spots Leanne outside the corner shop and tells her about Peter's drunken state - claiming that he fears for Simon's safety. Michelle returns to the factory and tries unsuccessfully to persuade Frank to continue running the factory. Back at their flat, Peter tells Carla that Frank won't get away with what he did to them. The pair quickly argue when they drink their sorrows together until Carla attempts to remove the whisky bottle out of Peter's hand; he refuses and they end up tussling over the bottle just as Leanne arrives moments later. Leanne accuses Carla of ruining her life and tells Peter that she wants custody of Simon. Distraught at how the situation has turned out, Carla leaves the flat. At the Rovers, Stella lowers the volume and tries to hide the TV remote from Karl. Izzy, Fiz, Beth, Hayley, Julie, Sean and Marcus are shocked at what has happened. Julie chooses the moment to announce her pregnancy. The TV is so loud the girls head off to the cafe to plan what to do to save the factory. Kevin fumes alone in the Rovers about Frank's treatment of Sally. In the cafe, Sean accuses Sally of betraying Carla - which causes Sally to leave in tears. Soon enough, Norris, Rita, Emily, Mary and Dennis become fed up with to the TV volume that they all leave the Rovers. Together, the group decides to go the bistro and Peter joins them upon encountering them en route. Rita also sees a distraught Sally but Sally declines her invitation to join the group in the bistro - saying that she needs to be alone and clear her head. Paul returns from work to No.11 and is horrified when Lesley doesn't recognise him. They send for Dr Carter. Marcus says it might be better if he and Sean stayed away to give Paul and Lesley space. Eileen and Paul feel guilty. The Barlows' television is on the blink and they decide it is Karl's new satellite dish that is causing the problems. Deirdre tells Ken to sort it; he visits Karl in the Rovers and complains about this, and is left unconvinced when Karl claims that he'll have it checked out. Stella is unhappy with Karl for driving the customers away from the pub. Carla returns to the factory to confront Frank alone. He ridicules her and then threatens to rape her again. Carla is terrified as she flees from the factory. Nick is horrified at Peter's drunken behaviour and makes him leave the bistro. Dennis is irritated by Lewis flirting with Rita and warns him off. Sean and Julie are walking back to No.11 when they notice lights on in the factory - and decide to confront Frank themselves. On entering the factory, they are horrified to find Sally kneeling besides the contorted body of Frank - who appears to be dead just as Sally's hands are covered in blood.
