Part One: Len and Ray do up No.3. The Barlows move into No.14 and Ken offers Len and Ray work to move the larger furniture across the street. Len charges him the steep amount of £3 for Stan's time, determined to get back some of his £25 he lost on the sale of No.9. Elsie asks Gary not to call her "Aunty" as it makes her feel old. Val doesn't think her old furniture looks right in the new flat and feels nostalgic about No.9. Maggie overhears Lucille making remarks about Les's drinking and Ena has to talk her out of fretting. Gary calls into the corner shop and introduces himself to Ena and Maggie, who promptly refuse to let him take advantage of Elsie's slate. Stan doesn't turn up to help the Barlows. Gary offers his services and Val realises he is Elsie's surprise. Sizing Stan up, Gary talks him into investing £2 in an antique scheme. Len thinks Stan's been conned, but stops him chasing after Gary, insisting he does Ken's work first.

Part Two: Stan finally turns up at No.9, only to find Ken moving the last item out. Ray is annoyed that Lucille is spending so much time with Gordon. Gordon goes for Ray when Ray taunts him about Les being a drunk and Ena has to stop them fighting in the shop. Gary tells Elsie he's turned Stan's £2 into £8 by buying and selling a chair on to an antique shop. He asks her for more money as he's spotted a good thing for sale. Ena insists that Maggie goes to the Rovers with her later on. Elsie stands up for Lucille when Annie thinks she shouldn't go out with Gordon. Ena forces Annie to swap pleasantries with Maggie when she brings her into the snug. Stan wants his £2 back and Gary hands it back with 10/- profit. He tells his aunt he's spent the £200 she gave him on a Jaguar car for her, which he presents to her outside the Rovers. She is annoyed as she can't even drive.
