Dr Carter tells Julie she'll need an operation to remove the growth on her ovary. Julie is despondant as it might mean she'll never get pregnant. Kevin asks Pam if she and Bill will look after Jack permanently. Kirsty is suspended for acting against Councillor Peake without authorisation. She thinks her career is over as she was already on a warning. Tommy is pleased about it and tells Kirsty it's her own fault for sticking her nose in. Pam thinks Kevin should be ashamed at putting Sally over his own son but agrees to take Jack as she doesn't want to see him adopted. Tommy catches Terry about to do a runner. Mary and Norris work on their entry in the Weatherfield bloom contest. Gail makes her front garden presentable. Two thugs demand money from Terry as he borrowed to set the club up. Tommy decides to pay them £10,000 to bail Terry out when he says they'll put him in hospital or worse. Kevin realises he can't give Jack up. Sally is pleased he has his priorities right but doesn't know where it leaves them. Kirsty blames Tyrone for getting her the sack and is angry at him for not defending her against Tommy. Tyrone tells her Carla has offered her a job at Underworld but she laughs at it. Sally tells Kevin they'll have to be just friends but they're both upset about it. Tyrone tries to calm Kirsty down but she hits him in the face.
