Eileen thinks Paul hates her as he leaves to tell his family about Lesley's death. She goes to work to get out of the house. Gail despairs as David mopes around the house instead of finding Kylie or looking for work. Tommy tells Tyrone he's paid Rick off and Terry is gone. Karl takes a fare to the casino, against Stella's instructions. Eileen snaps at the factory girls, accusing them of judging her for leaving Lesley alone. Tina thinks Terry should be reported to the police for assaulting her but Tommy wants to keep the police out of it. DC Merrick questions Eileen and Paul about the living arrangements at No.11 in the weeks leading up to Lesley's death. Rick tells Tommy to get his job back at the garage to pay his debt, implying a threat to Tina if he doesnt. Audrey grudgingly offers David his job back at the salon but he doesn't want. Nick makes him accept a job as a waiter at the bistro. Paul tells the police he was going to divorce Lesley but refuses to let him or Eileen be accused of being neglectful. Karl tells Sunita he went into the casino and lost £200. Norris and Mary are put out when Sally puts up a floral display outside her house. They accuse her of buying the plants but Sally says she grew them in the conservatory. Paul tells Eileen he wishes he'd never met her.
