Claire Hollins from Social Services talks to Peter and Leanne regarding Simon. Karl isn't happy about Sunita being at the Rovers and worries she'll follow through on her threat and tell Stella about their affair. Peter and Leanne trade insults; Leanne tells the social worker Simon probably learned from Peter that drink is the answer to everything but later she wonders if it would have happened at all if she'd stayed away. Jason does some work at the bistro and flirts with Eva. Peter takes Simon home. Carla returns to the flat and she and Peter apologise to each other. He wants to help Simon but doesn't know how. Jason asks Eva out. She doesn't want to go but is forced to accept when Nick says he'll give her Monday off. Peter calmly asks Simon why he drank the wine, saying he's not in trouble. Simon says he hates his life as he isn't allowed to see Leanne and he's seen Peter drink when he hates his life. Peter is heartbroken. Maria goes for a drink with Marcus to thank him for helping her with Liam. Peter asks Leanne to see him. Audrey tells Maria she's clearly falling for Marcus. Maria becomes embarrassed in his company and goes home. Karl shows Sunita flats for rent in the Gazette and tells her to find another mug. When Leanne comes over, Peter tells Simon he can live with Leanne if he wants. Simon is overjoyed and leaves with Leanne. Peter breaks down.
