Anna's beside herself, worried that she could lose Faye altogether. Owen assures her that won't happen. Having seen Dev's advert for a nanny, Mary applies for the job. Dev agrees to interview her and Sophie's amused. Clearly feeling the pressure, Anna snaps at the customers in the café. Roy's sympathetic but insists that she goes home. When Faye is formally interviewed, she breaks down admitting it was all lies and Anna has never hit her. The social worker calls at No.6 and tells Anna that Faye has admitted she made the whole thing up hoping that she could go and live with her dad. Gary insists on running Tina to the shops. Owen's not impressed when he's late for a work as a result. Beth and Kirk invite Chesney out for a drink along with Beth's niece, Sinead. Beth has high hopes that Sinead and Chesney will become an item. Faye arrives home quiet and sheepish. She can barely look Anna in the eye. Eileen's dreams of a relaxing holiday in Egypt are shattered when Julie insists they should book themselves on every excursion available. Feeling utterly defeated, Anna concedes that perhaps it would be best all round if Faye were to go and live with Tim. Owen's shocked.
