The Family Liaison Officer looked after the Harris family at 6 Coronation Street following the murder of Tommy Harris in March 2005.
Still on edge following the murder, Tommy's wife Angela became annoyed with the liaison officer and the police for interfering with the family. When the police arrived to ask questions about Tommy, Angela shouted at the liaison officer after she suggested a cup of tea and became angry when she asked personal questions about the family.
Following Angela's arrest for the murder of Tommy, the liaison officer was surprised to find Angela's father Keith Appleyard at the property, who vented his anger at the state of the place following a thorough police search in an attempt to find the murder weapon. Keith promptly arranged to take his grandchildren Katy and Craig back to Sheffield to live with him after Angela pleaded guilty.
- The character was played by Lisa George, making her second guest appearance in the programme (the first being a Nurse in September 1997) before making her debut as Beth Tinker in August 2011.
