Jack Allen (born "Robert John Lea Allen" on 23rd October 1907 in Sandbach, Cheshire; died 25th May 1995 in London) appeared on Coronation Street in June and December 1965 as Arthur Walker, brother of Rovers' landlord Jack. He made a brief return to the role in November 1969.

In a career spanning five decades, he first came to prominence on screen as Major Howard in thirty episodes of the Associated Rediffusion comedy series Tell It to the Marines, which ran from 1959 to 1960. Other television credits include roles in Walter and Connie Reporting, Orlando, Wreckers at Dead Eye, Harriet's Back in Town and Crown Court.

Film roles include Wings of Danger, The Headless Ghost, Ned Kelly and House of Mortal Sin.

On stage, he appeared in numerous productions including Doctor Faustus, Sweet Aloes, It Happened in New York, Mrs Dot, The Constant Wife, Pygmalion, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Little Lambs Eat Ivy, Goodnight Mrs Puffin and Grand Guignol, along with Macbeth and The Merchant of Venice for the Old Vic Company.
