Barry Pollard was the DJ hired by Percy Sugden for a Valentine's disco held at the Community Centre in February 1985 to raise funds for Weatherfield General. Percy found Barry through an advert in the paper and employed him because he was cheap. He was horrified though when he arrived at the centre and revealed that his stage nom-de-plume was "Kaiser Bill", complete with First World War helmet and shouts of "Ve hav vays of making you enjoy yourself"!
In the end, his act went down well with all the partygoers though Percy was at a loss all night to understand Barry's choice of act.
