Belmont Road was a street in Weatherfield from where Don Brennan's taxi was stolen in 1990. Don had stopped the cab outside a betting shop and left the car's engine running while he went inside to place a bet. He left in time to see Joe Egerton and a mate set off in it. Soon afterwards, Joe and his friend hit a cyclist and left the car abandoned in Regent's Road. Don then faced police action as there was no way to prove that the theft had occurred.
- The street exterior was seen in Episode 3013 (3rd January 1990). OB recording on the street was carried out on Liverpool Street, Pendleton in buildings since demolished that stood between Goulden Street and Southern Street. The bookies was two doors down from the entrance to the shop that doubled as the Weatherfield Recorder offices.
