William Wymar appeared on Coronation Street in five roles:
- Bert Driver, a friend of Frank Barlow in February 1961
- Mr Albright, a council housing officer in September 1961
- George Stubbins in December 1963
- Pensioner Ted Bates between August and September 1965
- A nightwatchman called Ben in February 1970.
He also appeared as a tramp in an episode of the spin-off comedy Pardon the Expression.
His other credits include roles in Knight Errant Limited, The Odd Man, The Villains, How We Used to Live and Crown Court, along with an uncredited role in the 1963 film Billy Liar.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Touch of Fear, Sweethearts and Wives, A Picture of Autumn, Cyrano de Bergerac, Thark and One Way Pendulum.
