The Waiter worked at the Chinese restaurant where Steve McDonald and Becky Granger dined at in March 2009. Steve's mother Liz and Lloyd Mullaney arrived at the restaurant and sat down at the next table. Steve was not happy with the arrangement as he'd purposefully booked the table in order for him and Becky to talk. The waiter explained that the restaurant was fully booked that evening and eventually took Becky's food and drink order. With the two women continually sniping at each other, the waiter came over to try and diffuse the situation but to no avail as Becky threw some of her meal at Liz and she retaliated by tipping the table over.
