The Courier delivered a letter to David Platt when he was at work at Audrey's Salon one day in October 2013. The letter contained the results of a DNA test that David had secretly had done on baby Lily Platt having discovered that his wife Kylie had had a fling with his half-brother Nick Tilsley on the previous Christmas Day.
Audrey Roberts offered to sign for the letter but the courier insisted it was only to be delivered to David. Audrey, not knowing of the parentage issue, thought too much fuss was being made but David, understandably, was pleased to keep to procedure.
