The Court Clerk was present at Gary Windass's trial for the assault of David Platt, heard at Weatherfield Crown Court in March 2009.
After all the evidence and witnesses had been heard, the Clerk directed the defendant and the foreman of the jury to stand. It was confirmed that in accordance with the Judge's direction, the accused, Gary Windass, was found "not guilty" of malicious wounding.
