The Doctor was on duty at Weatherfield General where she examined David Platt after he had run down Graeme Proctor on Victoria Street. David claimed that he had no memory of the accident and the Doctor suspected concussion after she found a bump on his head but he refused to spend the night in hospital. Graeme recovered after an operation. David was charged with attempted murder but was released when it was confirmed that he suffered from a rare form of epilepsy and had suffered a blackout at the time that he was driving.
