Donald Anderson was a jeweller who sold Alf Roberts and Renee Bradshaw an engagement ring in February 1978. Alf and Donald knew each other and a ring in the medium price range was requested. Renee liked one though she was shocked at the price but Alf, in a change of lifetime habits, insisted she have her choice.
