Plot[]
Len and Jack wonder where to go on the next darts' picnic. Annie notices that Harry is worried about something. Elsie thinks Christine has gone mad with power, while Christine believes Elsie has set out to give her a hard time. Florrie offers the Hewitts credit if they're finding it hard. Concepta politely refuses her offer. Harry pulls out of the upcoming darts picnic and reclaims the money he put in from Jack. Jack offers to pay it in for him until he gets a job but Harry won't let him. Harry is embarrassed when Jack buys him a drink and Ena and Albert ask him if he's celebrating. Dot returns from touring Italy with Walt and shows off her tan. Christine is summoned to the personnel department of Miami Modes where Miss Read tells her she has received complaints about Elsie from previous supervisors. Harry tells Jack he's thinking about going back to driving buses. When Annie hears, Jack warns Harry she'll tell Concepta. Harry is upfront with Concepta but she refuses to let him go back to the depot in a lesser role. He goes to the Labour Exchange instead and gets a couple of interviews but he's pessimistic. Marian Lund, now married, arranges a foursome with the Barlows. Elsie tells Miss Read that Christine isn't cut out for the job and she can't work with her. Miss Read promises changes.
