Plot[]
Deirdre decides to go to London with Phil. On her first day working full-time at the shop, Audrey leaves Alf on his own to go shopping. Alma feels guilty that her jealousy nearly cost Mike his job and feels that she has nothing to worry about from him and Jackie. Jackie starts to look at life more positively. She buys Mike a watch. Don starts giving Marie free rides to the hospital. Marie doesn't understand what he wants from her. Deirdre accuses Alec of spreading rumours about Phil's character and reminds him that Phil probably knows some unsavoury things about him. Marie tells Don that Eddie is in prison, for hitting a policeman at the Railwayman's Arms. Deirdre is pleased when Tracy doesn't mind about her trip to London. Ivy feels that Don is spending too much time cabbing. Deirdre tries to arrange for Tracy to stay with a friend over the weekend but she intends to stay with Ken. Don tells Bet about Eddie being in prison and learns that he and Marie had a house in Clarence Street when they got married. Steph goes after an evening job. Des is against it. Jackie and Mike spend the evening together. Alma is happily thinking that he is working.
