Plot[]
Peter's furious with Ken for the way he's treating Deirdre. He calls him a coward so Ken sets off for his new life on Martha's boat. Ted watches him go. Tara winds Dev up saying how Justin's taken some nude pictures of her for an art installation which she's going to display at the Victoria Court flats. Eddie loads up with booze at the cash and carry and pays on Roy's account. Julie goes to visit Colin in hospital. She feels sorry for her dad and holds his hand. Ken arrives at the boat. Martha's pleased and relieved he's chosen her over Deirdre. Blanche and Deirdre arrive back from their trip around Southern Cemetery. Neither of them notices Ken's letter to Deirdre on the dresser. Over lunch it's obvious both Ken and Martha are nervous about the enormous step they're taking. Martha tells Ken about the friends she'd like him to meet. Under Gail's supervision, Darryl starts mowing the Windasses lawn but the mower breaks down. Eddie lies to Anna saying the booze was a gift from a satisfied customer. At the last minute Ken realises he can't give up the life that he knows and scrambles off the boat. Martha sets off not realising Ken has abandoned her. Eventually she turns and sees Ken on the canal bridge. Ken watches her go with a heavy heart wondering if he's made the wrong choice.
