Plot[]

Part One: Peter Barlow is non-committal about where he was last night and Leanne's suspicions grow as he makes himself scarce for the day to organise Ken and Deirdre's anniversary party. Mary tries to quiz Rita about her row with Audrey but gets nowhere. Peter brings Simon to No.1 to bring Ken and Deirdre the card he's made them. Ken prepares a special breakfast for Deirdre. Audrey visits Gail and they make up. Ryan beseeches Sophie not to tell Sian about the kiss. Sophie's non-committal. Carla invites Trevor for a drink in a Manchester bar. Audrey fills Gail in on her row with Rita and her feelings for Lewis without specifying he's an escort. Gail is grateful to hear about the real world for a change. Leanne tells Janice about her suspicions of Peter, saying he's not answering her calls. Janice finds him in the Rovers chatting to Michelle in a conspiratorial manner and texts Leanne. She comes round to question him, but he dashes off to buy decorations for the party. Leanne thinks something's going on between Peter and Michelle.

Part Two: Sophie's dilemma is preying on her mind and she breaks down in tears in front of Emily. Emily takes her home. Lewis and Rita agree not to go out again. Audrey's delighted when Lewis calls into the salon and tells her that he will not be seeing Rita anymore because of the way she's treated her. He invites her out for the afternoon. Emily comforts Sophie and advises her that sometimes it is necessary to tell a lie for the greater good. Ryan apologises to Sian and tells her he loves her. She agrees to give him five minutes. Soon afterwards, Sophie spots them kissing. Janice arrives home with a fish supper ready for a night in with Trevor, unaware that he's enjoying on his date with Carla. An angry Leanne knocks back the booze before the party begins. Audrey rubs Rita's face in it by telling her she's been out with Lewis, and he's told her he's not impressed with Rita's behaviour. Leanne's annoyed when Peter arrives late with Michelle in tow. Carla drags Trevor into a second bar. Blanche sends Ken and Deirdre a card with €5. Before Ken can make a speech, Leanne confronts Peter and Michelle, throwing a drink over her. Ken explains he was the one who was out with Peter last night and she finds out that Michelle had been helping Peter buy a ring as he had been planning to propose during the festivities but if she cannot trust him, he's changed his mind. Leanne's mortified as Peter leaves the pub.

Carla Connor and Trevor Dean's night out in Manchester was recorded at the Deansgate Lock bars on Whitworth Street. The first bar that they are inside is Revolution at Arch 7 and the second bar they walk to is the now closed-down Loaf at 1A-5A.
TV Times synopsis: Leanne grows suspicious about Peter and Michelle, unaware of the romantic plan they have in store for her; and another date with Lewis only fuels Audrey's feelings for him.
