Plot[]
Alma is annoyed that Mike spent the evening monopolising Jackie and left her to look after everybody else. Rita gets a postcard from Jenny in Spain. Jim has an interview for an electrician's job. Deirdre tells Liz that she was chatted up by Phil Jennings. Ken receives a letter from Deirdre's solicitor regarding the divorce. He is horrified. Liz gets Jim and Alf together by telling them that the other has apologised. Ken surprises his class by snapping at Andy and walking out of a lesson. Phil tells Mike that he's interested in Deirdre. Ken begs Deirdre not to divorce him but she is steadfast. Jim isn't interested in the job as it's with a failing business. Don disapproves of the spiritualist. He tells Ivy that she can't bring Brian and Bert back. Ivy feels guilty for going against her beliefs but has to learn the truth about "Brian". Des suggests that Jim make money from repairing motorcycles as he enjoys it so much. Ken seeks comfort from Rita as he realises he's lost Deirdre - he never saw it coming. Phil places an order at Ingram's. Jackie thinks the factory killed Peter and tells Mike that she's selling up.
