Plot[]
Don can't stop thinking about Marie Ramsden struggling with Jamie on her own. Ivy is unsympathetic, remembering that Marie once walked out on Jamie. Mike assures Alma that he doesn't fancy Jackie but tells her that he'll hand in his notice. Audrey tries to find out Alf's plans for the shop while Sally is on maternity. He tells her it's all in hand. Mike goes to work and carries on as normal. Helping Marie home with her shopping, Don is shocked by the squalid living conditions in her rented flat. He warns her it's not good for Jamie's health. Marie can't do anything about it and gets him to change the subject. Alma starts to regret forcing Mike to resign and tries to get hold of him to get him to withdraw his notice. Jackie entertains Mike and they celebrate getting a big order. Tracy brings Graham Egerton back home for tea. Deirdre finds him too serious. Don neglects Ivy to help Marie. He discovers that he shares his birthday with Jamie. Deirdre calls Ken despicable for reporting Phil. Mike and Jackie have an intimate meal which ends with them going to bed.
