Plot[]
The council sets up a standpipe for the residents, on their second day without water. Angie is embarrassed after spending the night with Curly. Curly compounds this by making her breakfast in bed. The residents pester Alf and Audrey for an update on the water situation. Vera is concerned for Curly when she learns that Raquel has dumped him. Mike books Firswood Hall for the reception. Ivy eavesdrops as he and Jackie discuss the wedding. Alec is adamant that the Rovers will open as normal and buys three hundred plastic glasses. Jack is lumbered with the job of keeping the toilets running and has to make regular trips to the standpipe to replenish the water. Nigel Ridley puts a stop to it before the health department gets onto them. Vera blames Angie for helping Raquel get into modelling. Alec asks the Wiltons for help but retracts his request when they don't give him their full attention and then accuse him of being shifty. Jackie overhears Ivy slagging Mike off to a colleague. Des runs a hosepipe from his house to the Rovers for free pints. The Gilroys celebrate. Alf takes in a bulk delivery of bottled water. Angie tells Curly she regrets that last night happened. They shake hands and agree to be friends. Jackie sacks Ivy for gossiping.
