Plot[]

Audrey and Gail make up just before Audrey sees that Nick is back. Nick tells Gail that he's not returning to Canada but is only staying in Weatherfield a few days as he has a job interview in London on Monday. Sarah is furious with Gail. She makes Todd promise that he won't let her anywhere near Bethany. Nick tells Martin about Gail reporting Sarah to social services. Eileen is seriously worried about their lack of money. She asks Dev for a sub but he refuses her. Nick bumps into Maria and tells her they need to talk. Martin tells Gail how she's starting to act like Ivy in regards to her obsession with protecting her granddaughter. Gail is unnerved by the comparison. The company Nick has an interview with telephones No.8. Gail claims that Nick is no longer interested in the job as he wants to stay in the area. Martin overhears the conversation. Nick visits Sarah to try and get her to make peace with their mother. Sarah is unwilling to do so and tells Nick how Gail reported her to social services. Nick tells Sarah that their mother has been through a lot after Richard, but then Sarah tells Nick that he wasn't here throughout their family's ordeal with Richard and explains how she stepped in to look after their mother along with David and Bethany in the aftermath. Todd then arrives and Nick meets him. They agree to try and get Sarah to patch things up with Gail. Elsewhere, Audrey and Maria leave Candice on her own in the salon over lunchtime. Gerry Burton, her mum's boyfriend, lets himself into the salon and terrorises Candice. Luckily Audrey pops back for her purse and rescues Candice. She realises that Candice wasn't lying and that Gerry is a pervert. She lets Candice move into the salon flat with Fiz and Maria. Claire is disappointed. Later on Nick finds out from Martin that Gail has cancelled his interview as she doesn't want him to go and is outraged. He tells her that he now agrees with Sarah - their mother is becoming a control freak and trying to take over their lives. He angrily reacts when Gail calls him "Nicky" and tells her that she's driven two of her kids away in less than a day.
