Fred Crossley appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in August 1970 as George Mulliner, a friend of Handel Gartside; and he returned to the programme in June 1972 as Mr Arnthorpe, who attended Ernie Bishop's showing of silent films.
His other credits include roles in The War of Darkie Pilbeam, Justice, Shabby Tiger, A Raging Calm, Joby and Village Hall.
