Philip Andrew McCall (born 26th November 1925 in Glasgow, died 29th January 2002 also in Glasgow) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as George Farmer, who was Ron Cooke's best man when he married Maggie Clegg in July 1974; and he returned to the programme in December 1989 as hotelier, Cyril Partridge, an old friend of Alec Gilroy.

He trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

His other credits included roles in The Master of Ballantrae, Dr. Finlay's Casebook, This Man Craig, Softly Softly, The Troubleshooters, The Revenue Men, The Vital Spark, Detective, The Borderers, Adam Smith, Softly Softly: Task Force, Sutherland's Law, Minder, Bull Week, Square Mile of Murder, Skorpion, Bottle Boys, Brookside, High Street Blues, Shadow of the Noose, Snakes and Ladders and The Justice Game.

On stage, he appeared in productions of The Homecoming, The Ghost Train, The Potting Shed, Saturday Night at the Crown, Wolf's Clothing, The Wild Duck and The Slab Boys.
