Simon Rouse (born 24th June 1951 in Bradford) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:

His other television credits include roles in Sam, Crown Court, Smuggler, The Manions of America, Doctor Who, The Practice, Albion Market, Bread, Hard Cases, EastEnders, Casualty, Wilderness Edge, Leipzig Homicide, Broadchurch and Life, but he remains best known for his role as DCI Jack Meadows in the long-running ITV police drama The Bill.

Film roles include The Ragman's Daughter, Pop Pirates and Operation Mincemeat.

On stage, he appeared in productions of Coriolanus, Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra, Titus Andronicus, 'Tis Pity She's a Whore, The Lorenzaccio Story, Sons of Light, Old Tyme Music Hall and Alone Yes for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Other works include The Sea, Underarm Bowling, The Daughter-in-Law, Sweet Bird of Youth, The Changing Room, The Full Monty, Hangmen and Noises Off.

He was the special guest on the edition of This Is Your Life, transmitted on 21st March 2001.
