Harry Markham (born 31st December 1906 in Ashton-under-Lyne, died December 1981 in Bolton) appeared on Coronation Street between July 1970 and February 1971 as Handel Gartside, close friend of Minnie Caldwell. He made a brief return to the role in October 1976.
His other television credits included roles in Sam, Soldier and Me, Sam and the River, Crown Court, This Year Next Year, Television Club, Yanks Go Home, Hard Times, All Creatures Great and Small, The Spoils of War, Hi-de-Hi! and Juliet Bravo, while on film, he appeared in A Kind of Loving, Kes and Mister Quilp.
On stage, he appeared in a 1930 production of Honours Easy at St Martin's Theatre, London.
