Iain Gibson, along with wife Verity, were scheduled to view flat 12 Coronation Street when it was up for sale in 2010. They arrived early for the appointment on 3rd May, catching owner Jason Grimshaw by surprise as he tried to enter the flat only to find the locks had been changed since he was last there.
When Jason had an argument with Graeme Proctor outside the flat, Verity told Iain she got a bad vibe. Iain suggested they return another time, but the altercation was enough for Verity to lose interest in the flat completely.
