Amy Barlow went missing in March 2012 when she went off with Lesley Kershaw who was suffering from dementia. Her friends and family started looking for her and her father Steve McDonald looked through Hall Gardens. There he found Lesley arguing with an Ice Cream Man as Amy looked on and a queue of disgruntled customers built up behind them.
To stop the dispute and calm Lesley down, Steve bought Amy her requested orange lolly and started a fun race back to his car with the two of them to bring them back home.
