The Labourer was one of the builders at Maurice Jones's Coronation Street development in 1990. While performing his duties, he was approached by Tina Fowler who enquired about the whereabouts of his co-worker Eddie Ramsden. He replied that Eddie was off for the day as he was going to France with "some bird". This confused Tina, as Eddie had told her their trip to Charleville was off. As Tina headed off towards the Rovers, the labourer's gaze was fixed in her direction.
