Dorina Brown played two separate roles on Coronation Street: as P.C. Broadley between November and December 1967; and she returned to the programme as a lady registrar noting the details of bride and groom at the wedding of Emily Bishop and Arnold Swain in September 1980.

She also appeared in Kate, Crown Court and The Cuckoo Waltz and presented the final News From The North on BBC Radio 4 from the old Broadcasting House at 33, Piccadilly, Manchester on 12th September 1980 before the Corporation moved its studios after fifty-one years on the site.

On stage, she appeared in a production of Make Your Own Bed for the Lawrence-Williamson Repertory Players at the Bolton Hippodrome.
