Ann Kennedy appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in March 1966 as Beryl Holgate, an old flame of Jim Mount; and she returned to the programme in January 1975 as battered wife Lynn Johnson, whose death would prompt a murder investigation involving Len Fairclough.

Her other television credits include Maigret, Triangle, Dixon of Dock Green, Public Eye and Headmaster.

On stage, she appeared in productions of The Hot Tiara, Murder in the Cathedral, The Confederacy and An Ideal Husband for Farnham Repertory Company, along with UK tours of Move Over Mrs Markham and Murder with Love.
