The Manager ran MobyRicks mobile phone shop where it was believed that Slug (real name "Neil Ackroyd") was employed during 2009.
Becky McDonald - who had been falsely arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply (orchestrated by corrupt police officer DC Hooch) - and husband Steve went to the shop in order to speak with Slug in the hope that he would confess to planting the drugs at the Rovers on the couple's wedding day.
When the manager called over his colleague named Neil, it became immediately apparent that Slug had pulled the wool over Becky's eyes and he too was involved in Hooch's set-up.
