Nancie Jackson (born 28th April 1921 in Skirlaugh, Yorkshire; died 18th January 1977 in Chelsea, London) appeared on Coronation Street in July 1963 as Miss Read, personnel officer at Miami Modes.

She appeared in numerous episodes of Z Cars as well as making one off appearances in, amongst many other series, Maigret, Sizzlewick, R3, The Wednesday Play, United!, Doctor Who, Angels, Out of the Unknown, Colditz, Upstairs, Downstairs and Dr. Finlay's Casebook.

Among her radio work, which included parts in The Archers and Mrs. Dale's Diary, she made several appearances on Children's Hour in the late 1950s.

On stage, she predominantly worked with Birmingham Repertory Theatre and appeared in productions of South Wind, Abraham Lincoln, Emmy, The Tinder Box, The Critic, The River Line, Gaslight, Yellow Sands, Tartuffe, Pericles, The Confidential Clerk, Richard II, The Clandestine Marriage, Anne Boleyn, Caesar and Cleopatra, Sganarelle, The Elder Statesman, Fratricide Punished, A Man for All Seasons, The Love of Four Colonels and Traveller Without Luggage. Other works include The Guardsman, Postman's Knock, The Flat Next Door, Larger Than Life, Gammer Gurton's Needle, Hedda Gabler and The Taming of the Shrew.
