Alan Hunter (born 24th October 1952 in Liverpool) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly between July and August 1977 as Detective Constable Burton, investigating a break-in at the corner shop; and he returned to the programme in November 1988 as domestic engineer Pete Shaw, who won the affections of both Sandra Stubbs and Gloria Todd.
His other credits include roles in Crown Court, The Spoils of War, Squadron, The Bill, Dangerous Lady, Dangerfield, Silent Witness, EastEnders and the regular role of Greg Ryder in Take the High Road from 1990 to 1993.
