Phil was an assistant at the Lagoon Spa, attended by Carla and Michelle Connor for a pampering treat in December 2014. The two women were attracted by the site of another assistant, Claudio, as they came in and they wondered if he also did massages. He delighted them when he told them that he and his colleague Phil would be looking after them on their visit.
After he had pointed them in the direction of the changing rooms, the two women had a friendly discussion as to who would be ministered to by Claudio and who would have Phil, with Carla agreeing to take the latter and telling Michelle that she might regret it later. It was Carla who was struck for words though when "Philomena", a moaning, butch woman appeared, ready to do business but complaining that her boss wouldn't let her use her full name as he felt it might confuse the customers. As Carla's back was pummelled, Michelle enjoyed the more tender touch of Claudio's hands. Afterwards, Michelle commented that it wouldn't have hurt her to crack a smile and Carla responded that she had cracked enough of her vertebrae.
