Joseph Belcher (born 29th August 1928 in Bradford, died 16th August 2006 also in Bradford) appeared on Coronation Street in six roles:
- Railway porter Syd Greaves in September 1974
- Newton & Ridley drayman Alec Lawton in November 1975
- George Carter, a stallholder on Weatherfield Market in November 1981
- A shopkeeper in September 1989
- An angler at the River Irwell in June 1991
- Archie Cox, a former army comrade of Joss Shackleton who attended his funeral tea in November 1993.
His other credits included roles in Crown Court, Sam, My Brother's Keeper, All Creatures Great and Small, Emmerdale Farm, The Practice, First of the Summer Wine, Last of the Summer Wine and Dalziel and Pascoe, along with the films Dracula, An American Werewolf in London, The Dresser and Link.
