Emma Woodward (born 9th May 1993 in Whitefield, Manchester) portrayed Sophie Webster in Coronation Street between June 1997 and April 2004.
Emma was the second actress to play Sophie, taking over from Ashleigh Middleton and first appearing on 8th June 1997. She continued in the role until 25th April 2004 when she last appeared, leaving the programme at the age of ten to concentrate on her schoolwork. The role was recast and Brooke Vincent took over the part the following month.
The role of Sophie is Emma's only known acting role.
