Peter Edward Wallis (born 5th August 1925 in Hunslet, Leeds; died 23rd May 2008 in Otley, West Yorkshire) appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:

For many years he was part of Leeds-based comedy act with his three sisters and brother but later branched out into acting and went solo. One of his first credited acting roles was in the John Finch-scripted Granada series Sam in 1973 and he followed this up with roles in several editions of the BBC's Play for Today as well as Crown Court, Emmerdale Farm, Last of the Summer Wine, Open All Hours, Heartbeat, Playing the Field and Always and Everyone. On the big screen, he had a small part in the highly successful 1996 film Brassed Off while on radio, he had a regular role in the late 1970s series You've Got to be Joking.
